In a strategic move to bolster its leadership for a significant growth phase, Munich-based residential real estate developer Nexum Group AG has appointed seasoned capital markets expert Sebastian Holl to its Management Board as Chief Financial Officer. Holl will assume full responsibility for the company’s finance function, financing activities, and capital markets strategy, reporting alongside CEO Philipp von Erffa and Chief People & Legal Officer Claudia Vucak. Holl brings a formidable three-decade career in high finance to the high-growth developer. His background includes senior roles at premier U.S. investment banks Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, as well as a position as Head of Corporate Broking at Germany's Baader Bank. In that capacity, he facilitated access to international institutional investors for numerous companies, conducting over 1,000 investor roadshows and advising on transactions totaling more than one billion euros. This experience has endowed him with an extensive network among small- and mid-cap investors in the DACH region and the United Kingdom. Dr. Johannes von Bismarck, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, emphasized the appointment's significance, stating Holl's proven expertise and investor relations track record mark "an important milestone for the planned scaling of Nexum Group." He noted the appointment completes a Management Board exceptionally positioned to drive the company's next growth chapter. Holl himself highlighted the appeal of Nexum's disruptive business model, which targets key market challenges by focusing on projects with secured building rights, shortened durations of 15 to 30 months, and efficient capital rotation to reduce risk and enhance cash flows. Nexum Group AG operates a data-driven development model, acquiring residential projects with existing or imminent building permits in Germany's top seven metropolitan areas. By outsourcing construction to established partners, the company mitigates traditional development risks, aiming for faster turnover and scalability. The firm currently manages a development pipeline with a total volume exceeding one billion euros, positioning Holl's capital markets acumen as central to funding its ambitious expansion.
